Code Red is progressing fast! Below are photos of the plywood form work and metal rebar installation.
A special construction component we are using is a white fiberglass form tie. This type of form tie will not rust with the elements, a common problem with regular galvanized steel form ties in marine environments. It’s pictured below and it acts to hold the wood form work in place while the concrete is being poured. Once the concrete cures, it is cut off. Regular steel is left exposed because here we are using a non-corrosive material.
